Promote Accessible, Open, and Responsive Government
- Create a full time Public Information Officer/Communications Coordinator
- Establish an Aldermanic Liaison to Neighborhood Advisory Councils
- Ensure revamp of the city’s website for user friendliness and up to date information
- Develop effective ways to measure the level of customer service satisfaction
Support the City’s Public Safety Efforts
- Appropriately fund/staff the Frederick Police Department & Code Enforcement
- Retain and support Chief Kim Dine as our Chief of Police
- Work for implementation of the FPD 2009-2014 Strategic Plan
- Review and revise ineffective “health and safety” legislation
Advocate for Smart Growth and Sustainable Communities
- Support implementation of the City’s 2009 Sustainable Practice Action Plan
- Enhance recycling and explore other alternative waste disposal methods
- Encourage mixed-use development in areas with existing infrastructure
- Expand economic development initiatives to attract and retain jobs
