Promote Accessible, Open, and Responsive Government

  • Create a full time Public Information Officer/Communications Coordinator
  • Establish an Aldermanic Liaison to Neighborhood Advisory Councils
  • Ensure revamp of the city’s website for user friendliness and up to date information
  • Develop effective ways to measure the level of customer service satisfaction

Support the City’s Public Safety Efforts

  • Appropriately fund/staff the Frederick Police Department & Code Enforcement
  • Retain and support Chief Kim Dine as our Chief of Police
  • Work for implementation of the FPD 2009-2014 Strategic Plan
  • Review and revise ineffective “health and safety” legislation

Advocate for Smart Growth and Sustainable Communities

  • Support implementation of the City’s 2009 Sustainable Practice Action Plan
  • Enhance recycling and explore other alternative waste disposal methods
  • Encourage mixed-use development in areas with existing infrastructure
  • Expand economic development initiatives to attract and retain jobs
