Thanks to all of you who have helped this campaign reach its first goal; a victory in the primary election! I am grateful and humbled by the support I have received. Many of you I have known since my days on the streets as a rookie cop. Others have become friends over the years through professional and social interactions. Some have just gotten to know me as a result of this campaign, or have trusted and listened to others who support me. All of you are aces in my book!
We still have work to do. I will need your help to get through the general election on November 3. Here are some things you can do:
- Stop by the Democratic tent at the Great Frederick Fair and get a yard sign (or email us).
- Tell a friend (or five) to vote for me in the election.
- Volunteer to go door to door with our literature (at your convenience).
- Make a contribution to the campaign (payable to Kelly’s Supporters).
- Encourage folks to vote!
According to the unofficial results (without absentee ballots counted), I am only 20 votes from being tied for third place with two others, and 171 more votes would have put us in first place! This is such a very close race. There are 24,943 registered voters in Frederick. EVERY SINGLE VOTE COUNTS!!!
I will work hard to get votes in November, and I will work hard as your Alderman. THANKS!!!
